What method to use in Photoshop Elements to make glamour shots look like magazines!!! I usually fool around with the smart blur! Please help me out!

Does Elements 5 have a healing brush? If so, you can use it to correct things like pimples, wrinkles, uneven skin tones, etc. Does it have a liquify tool? If it does, you can use it to make thighs, arms, stomachs, etc smaller. Sorry I can't be of more help!

Well, the healing brush doesn't necessarily give fake skin if used in moderation. There is a filter called Dynamic Skin Softener which I have found to work very well but it's part of the nik Color Efex 2 bundle and it isn't cheap! I don't know if it would work with Elements 5 thought. Unfortunately, none of the Photoshop programs come with good tools for this sort of thing you want to do (except the healing brush) so most things tend to be done with third party filters. I hope someone else can be of more help.

BTW, what you see in magazines is not smoooooth, it's fake.

You can also select the face area (skin only) and add a very slight blurr to that area. Then erase the blur away from areas that still need detail such as the eyes, lips, and nose outline.
