Yes, I'm bitching this time, but not about shooting the homeless. All the great suggestions that constantly come in, and we have to have one we just did 4 months ago?

Challenges like this are good for the site because it forces people to try new things and challenge themselves as photographers but also as a viewer, I think SC may realise that. Also if you have a look around there is a few people really putting their heart into it around here at the moment.

Awww, crap. This is my favorite thing to shoot and I'm somewhere we don't have any streets per se, and I can't get to anywhere that does. Rats. Double rats.

I will enjoy viewing and voting if I get the time, though!

First reaction - Yes! I got this under control!

Second reaction - Oh wait.. I have to go shoot people I don't know with a huge DSLR, and look like I should be shooting them, when nothing of importance is going on, or face an ethical decision about whether it's street photography if they're not going about their day-to-day lives?

Guess I'll go hang out in the mall or some big store and shoot. I could probably get permission from just about any store if I wanted to be legit about it, and that's probably a good idea.

and be careful if you're aiming your camera at children - there's a lot of controversy regarding this right now, lol. might land you in jail if that kid happened to be topless (even males) yeah... *roll eyes*

Why couldn't this have been last week? I found a brilliant place to do totally candid street shots. Well, maybe I can go there again before Thursday... ;-Þ

Well, last time I was in wal-mart, I didn't see any topless bars, or naked kids. Things might have changed though, you never know.

Is there a differnce between candid and street photography?

it seem to me that candids would qualify as street, but not necessarily the opposite would be true too

Well son of a B*%#h!
Spend the whole afternoon at the San Diego Gay Pride Festival. 2GB of candids, lifestyles, party scene, dancing, costumes, portrait, stage performances including, well, you'll see soon enough.

Crap.

Off to go figure out how to back-date my EXIF.
just kidding...
