No, people can not just steal your moneys, heh. If I remember correctly 100 copper = 1 silver. You may want to check to see if you now have 1 silver piece.

That might be it...now that I think of it I have several silver pieces. Well how come I can't buy anything at the shops now though. It says I don't have enough money, but I have some silver pieces and the stuff I want is like 60 bronze.

OMG I am a nerd.

Hahah. I dont know hwat to tell you man. What server did you end up choosing?

I don't even know what server. All I know is some (guardian angel) guy with green letters helped me out of a sticky situation in a cave where some troll things were attacking me (8 of them) and I was just running for my life (which was hysterical because I am this 2ft tall bald little guy that shoots fireballs, and all these trolls were chasing me telling me that they were going to turn me into mojo. So I come running out of the cave being chased by all these bad dudes, and this guy comes in and in about 3 secs kills them all with some sweet giant sword. So of course there was something I was trying to get in the cave for a quest, so I go back in thinking the coast is clear, and that guy laughs at me and says "you've got to stop doing that". lol He follows me in again and protects me, and I never did find what I was looking for.

It is the funniest thing I have ever done. I was like indiana jones when he was being chased through the forest by that tribe in the begging of the movie. ROFL

I explored some of the map, and I ran into a whole lotta dudes and creatures that just sort of attacked me, so I teleported back to newbie land.

ok the following will be pretty nerdy but non nerds shouldn't be reading this thread anyways...

your problem in the cave is that you had what they call too much agro. agro is when you make something attack you. if you shoot fireballs i will asume you are a mage or other magic user which mean you are squishy and can't take a punch very well. you need to "pull" you enimies one by one. so when you see some enimies choose the one closest to you and from a distance shoot him. stand in your spot and he will come to you whic will allow you to take him on one-on-one. don't jsut jump in or you will die.

Ok so last night I headed north and explored some other parts of the "realm". Anyway out of nowhere came a 30' tall white monster who started chasing me out of the woods, and as I was trying to run away a couple bears got in the act along with a wolf I think. I am a level 6, they were all level 8 except for the white monster who was a level 11. So I just teleported back to newbie land for a while.

This is funny. (nerd alert, and language alert)

Whew. I made it to level 7. It is all getting sort of old now. I think my World of Warcraft days are done, 7 days before the free version expires.

I will miss that 2ft tall little dude that could shoot fire and conjure up jerky.

It's for the best...

It only really gets fun when you get to kill real people's characters and not just computer mindless "mobs."

get out while you can! I used to be major addicted to a game called guildwars, basicly had no life. Dont get me wrong, these games are FUN! Id love to play WoW but theres too much risk that id get caught up in it and never do anything lol. Im one of those people who get hooked on stuff, i couldn't just NOT play when an hour is up, id play till all hours of the night lol. Now, if i had millions of dollars, didn't need to have a job, id probably play all the time haha.

It is fun. I like exploring, that was probably the most fun part for me. The sheer size of that game is really pretty incredible. It should be one of the wonders of the computer world. I walked for an hour and never returned to the same place. It got a little rough however.

The addiction grows... there is no escape...

I have been playing for a couple of months now, but every time I get to about lvl 16-20 I get bored with my character and start a new one. I'm currently a lvl 15 Blood Elf Warlock.

Jason - if you find a guild, or at least someone to help you get throught he first 10-15 levels, then the game picks up with more exciting quests and better loot.

Ok, so I am a level 9 mage now and I finally made it to the great forge and a city somewheres that I can't remember the name of. South something. Anyways this game should be one of the "wonders" of the computer world. I never imagined that it was this huge. I got on the back of some flying creature and toured around a little and I am saying this thing was much bigger than I imagined it to be. I now see what all the fuss is about. It is probably one of the greatest achievements in video game programing ever.

In the same sense that crack is a marvel of chemistry, yes it is.

And I was just thinking about how small the world was and how they needed to make it bigger. Again.

I am in awe of the size of that thing. It is great.

I confess I'm jealous of you! The first time getting REALLY lost was the best... and every time after! Exploring is the best. I ended up some places that I really shouldn't have been at very much the wrong level. Good times.

That is the fun part! You are right. Exploring around is great fun. I have been eaten by a couple monsters, but overall it is great.

Started slowly though. There wasn't enough to do in the begining to keep me interested.

I currently play and have got a 70 human Warlock. It's fun, but it's got it's drawbacks. I think the key thing for anyone, like myself, who doesn't like to raid is to find a good laid back guild. I'm in such a guild, and the atmosphere of the people certainly makes it more fun.

Oh and yes exploring is by far one of the best things about MMOs. I start with Asheron's Call and to this day I love simply exploring and seeing what I can see.

All I know is that my character doesn't have the proficiency to wear leather? What the heck does that mean?

your mage can only wear cloth armor. some classes can wear different types f armor.

Can Mages wear Leather at level 40? I dont remember if they get an armor upgrade like Warriors do.

I cant wait for winter so its cold outside and I dont have a reason to leave my bedroom and can play this a lot again.
