| is it just me, or is the front page loading particularly slow for anyone else? every other page at DPC loads like normal, but the main page seems to take awhile everytime i go there (only within the past hour or so, that i know of). |

I've noticed the same since 7PM. All other pages in the site seem ok.

Refresh after you try to load it and it will come up quickly..

| dunno, refreshing doesn't seem to change anything for me - still slow. maybe it has something to do with my IE settings (like, why mine is still slow and yours may not be, on the refresh) |

I don't think it has to do with settings; it is intermittently very slow for me, loads instantly sometimes, other times go get a soda. Shift-refresh seems to have no effect. Tried pinging dpchallenge.com as well as images.dpchallenge.com and both report a very consistent 33-34 milliseconds, no apparent problem there.
It's a stumper.

It's a bit better for me now. Was very s l o w earlier.
I'm also glad to know it wasn't just me. |

I'm at work and everytime I come to the front page I get some error that asks if I wanna debug....something about an unfinished comment...

front the bottom bar on my browser, it was having a hard time connecting to reinvigorate.net, the tracking website they use for statistics here.. that server must be slow to connect or down right now, making the front page load pretty slow.

For me, the front page is slower than it has ever been to load. Is anyone else having a problem with it? I have not changed any settings.

I think maybe the DPC server(s) are under more strain these days?

It' sbeen intermittant for 4 days in a row and it's not the dpc servers I don't think.

I guess if it's not servers the only thing left really is the route between DPC and the users. As it's fairly widespread (users from lots of countries reporting issues), it would seem to be the upstream route from/to sargasso.net.

Ditto. I'd imagine it's something to do with DPC and/or its network.
I did a traceroute from a Linux box in the US: result. It would seem the sargasso.net is lagged somewhat..
