Aww, be kind. Terry's tourney is for a good cause, and just think how much fun it would be if a Sucker beat Achoo for instance. Which several of us are doing this week in DPL if I'm not mistaken. Woo AND hoo on that. Anyway, if you're so inclined, check out Terry's tournament. Oh, and "meow!"

I'm in desat too!! I am so happy my internet is back. I was going through some major withdrawals.

I'm still deciding on username or shapes. So many opportunities. I think I will do username, but I know you guys are going to have some really creative entries.

Well, I'll see you in desat! It was fun to learn how to do.

-her father, whom she never met, is Irish. Leave only her Irish half in color.
-the pincushion is full. Only the points are in color.
-the desert is in color. the blood is black.

:)

hello, it's nice to see you all sunbathing:)
I've just come back from a beachhouse in madrid to my ice palace in oslo :) and it's nice to have one warm and sunny place to go to, here

In both desat and also username. Both will gain the normal sucky standing in scores. But, that's the name of the game.

I think I'll go for username, it sounds fun :)

I'm up to date -- in Desat, Shapes, and Free Study. And my Vanishing score can't quite make it to 5. Bummer.

Griz - yea about your photo getting validated! Especially because you said it is a PB, right? Excellent!

I'm in Desat and User Name. Haven't chosen anything for FS yet.

Hiya Svetlana! Hopefully you got a shot for the Selective Desat challenge while you were sunbathing.... a bikini in colour? ;-)

Congrats on the validation, David - looking forward to seeing your shot!

Slippy - behave if you're going to visit or Don will sic the kittens on you. The mean ones.

Oh, and I'm in desat and still fumbling with usernames. Had great ideas, not so great execution on that one. I'm thinking my desat MIGHT be a Posthumous-comment-worthy entry.

My random discovery for the afternoon:
if your camera has a built in flash which prevents the use of a softbox or any kind of similar piece of apparatus, it's still possible to sort of diffuse the light by holding a stretched pair of tights wrapped around the flash as it goes off. Who needs proper equipment anyway :p

Love it! There's nothing better than discovering you can achieve for free something you can buy for hundreds of dollars on the web! I'll have to try that technique.

Svetlana - love Madrid! I'm jealous - I haven't been there in years.

you can also cut of the bottom of a 1/2 gallon (empty!) plastic milk jug and stick that over the flash...

Ooh, I shall try that the next time :)

Hi everyone! Miss me?? I'm in serious internet withdrawal! I posted a few days ago in my DPL thread but forgot to post here. I'm currently without internet at home and have to come borrow my cousin's connection. Hopefully everything will be fixed soon. My DSL modem is broke. I either have to fork out the money for a new one or switch to cable. I was in the process of switching to cable, but they cancelled my install 2 times, then told me I couldn't get the package deal I was supposed to be getting because I already have cable tv. Now they are offering a different deal (though it's actually the same deal), but I'd have to sign a 2 year contract to get it.

This DPL stuff is insane - the selective desat challenge is starting to get as large as a Free Study. Guess I'll have to set a lot of time aside for voting.

I'm in for desat - will likely not do all that well, but I'm much better with the paint brush in PS than I was when I started, so I learned something. :)

Welcome back, Kelli!

I'm in username! Just finished editing it, I'm really happy with the entry.
