I like it, other than the halo effect you have around the building, the trees and the foreground.
Other than that a great picture. |

I don't like the halo around the trees, but I actually think that it ads quite a bit to the building. It is an old church... the glow looks appropriate. |

For me, I like the hallowing it enhances the picture overall.
There appears to be a dust spot on the left of the tree and I find that a distraction. There is some ghosting on the trees as well, maybe that an alignment problem. Overall I would give it the thumbs up. Well done.

| I don't like HDR halos but it's tolerable here because it's a religious structure. Ideally, you want to control or eliminate it completely (via masking/blending, etc). That way it's you making the choice to have that effect in your photo and not the software. This pretty much goes for any effects filter though. |

| I love the image other than the halo'ing...sorry just my opinion. I think it makes the image look too unnatural. btw...what caused that to show up anyway? |

Interesting - but I think that you have got too dark a sky and the haloing is a distraction. If you get rid of the halo by matching it to the sky brightness, then you have got almost no highlight contrast - the whole image would have an underexposed look.
Personally, I would look for the intensity and contrast that you have in the sky, but closer to the brightness present in the halo. Either that, or perhaps brighten up the whole image.

This image has a great deal of potential.
I like HDRs that don't look like HDRs, so I may not be the person you want commenting. I feel that you have overdone the HDR this quite a bit. The halo around the church is a clear signal that you need to adjust the luminocity, light smoothing, and the strength of the HDR. I see a lot of processing based pixelation on the edges of the image (lots of orangish areas) and also are created by boosting the HDR artifacts. Increasing the light smoothing and adjusting the luminosity (if you are using Photomatix Pro) would likely help this one a great deal.
The sky has a lot of great feel to it and I would imagine you could get there by reducing the HDR and then doing PP in photoshot to pop the sky.

| Too much for my tastes, esp. the halo effect which isn't very pleasing when it comes to excessive HDR. |
