Well, I'm awfully excited to get home and begin shooting.
Thank the lord for waterproof digitals. =P
This ought to be fun.
There's so many things one can do with bubbles on water, or even out of water.
There's bubbles for blowing, shampoo in the hair, bubbles floating on water, adding dye to water, adding light to water, or a combination of all of those..
So I'm basicly rambling on..
Is anyone else as excited for this challenge as I am?
XD

I have an idea for this challenge. But will have to spend some serious time to pull it off. Not sure if Time will be on my side or not.

Allright, lets shape up in here, this is no way to discuss a challenge topic.

We need to establish an exact definition of a bubble.
Are theoretical constructs, such as bubbles in the space-time continuim, subject to a DNMC?
Does the chemical compostion of your bubble really matter?
Will entires with a single bubble meet the challenge?
Would a picture of Don Ho singing "Tiny Bubbles" work ?
If I have a glass bobble that looks like a bubble, can I use that?
Exactly when does a glass bubble become a bottle?

The ramifications could make your mind boggle.

trying to stir up trouble?

I'm really excited about the bubble challenge. I had already come up with an idea I wanted to try earlier yesterday. Its going to take quite the production to pull it off, if I can!

Sadly, Don Ho passed away a few days ago, so that photo would probably get DQ'ed for the wrong date.

Can you photography a theoretical construct and would it score well?

Michael Jackson had a chimp named Bubbles. Can we do a pic of an animal and call it Bubbles? How about a stripper? But I guess that would not work very well unless it also had Mr. Jackson in the bath with the chimp and the tub was full of bath bubbles. I might have some bubble wrap around here somewhere...

Then there will be the carefully lit glass of liquid with one bubble on the side. Or champagne. I expect a couple of those.

i have a raether spiffing idea for this one... not going to tell tho :P

I did one of those "bubble on the side of a glass" ones a few weeks ago, it's actually fairly difficult to get bubbles forming on the side when you are using just water...

See, I was wondering if a balloon would qualify as some sort of latex bubble?

Might not score well. Some voter are a little literal and wouldn't see a balloon as a bubble.

I have an idea.. Problem is, it won't be easy to convince my brother to buy me wine..
It isn't one of those 'bubble on the side' things,
I just feel older using alcohol in images.

Prof_Fate,

That was so wrong on so many levels.

im thinking this is how its gonna break down

1/4 people or little kids blowing bubbles
1/4 of bubbles sitting on a table with a pretty background
1/4 alcohol or drinks of some sort
1/4 creative/something new.

Use grape juice in an old bottle. It will look like wine and the viewer will never know the difference.
