I know image is looking soft, that is intentional

There's a few problems with this image to watch out for in future...

The first noticeable thing is some manual editing around the background. It's not quite BW, more a brown colour. It might not show up on your monitor, but it's very obvious on mine and would certainly show up in a print.

The second noticable problem is the blown hightlights (white areas are too white, and detail is lost). I can't say if it's from a over-bright flash or from the photo editing. If it's from a bright flash, try taking flash photos from a little further away from the subject. On the other hand, it might be from editing, in which case, just be aware of this, and be more careful in the future.

I would recommend trying to calibrate your monitor - my guess is that it might be too dark. This would explain why you might have overbrightened the image to try to compensate for that, and why you didn't see the brown editing marks.

It helped alot actually my monitor is not calibrated.This was just a quick quick editing i did, it was converted from a color image.
