I was trying to do "beating the odds" (the first picture in this thread reminded me of that). I did something entirely different. But here are two discarded beating the odds:

awesome shots, guys. uabresch, I like the colored one, the bottom one I'm not fussy on the effect. I like all these "outcasts" :) |

Excellent idea and great shot, carsten! I'm curious to see what's your first choice ... |

All great shots here, I'd have rated them all highly. I am now keen to see which ones the people here have as their actual entries!
Uabresch .... I most definitely prefer the colour one to the b&w one there.

A super picture, and would be a winner, except that I've never heard the expression "Feeling upside down". Is it a translation from another language or something? [Not that I know everything, just almost everything ;-) ] What does it mean when you are feeling upside down. You are on a ride in a carnival? ;-)
I've heard "Feeling out of sorts", or "Feeling his oats", and "Feeling Blue".
Just curious.

'Feeling upside down' means feeling out of place or uncomfortable I think ... |

I prefer the second one. It strikes me as more dynamic with an expressed graphical characteristic. The first shot, to me, does not go beyond the representational. |
