Okay, I really feel stupid sometimes. I have done this like a million and one times but can't remember how to do it. I have cut out a person from one photo and pasted that person on to a background. How do I soften the edges around the cut out person to make them more blend to the background and not look so pasted in? Much appreciated!!! Duhhh!!!

I have tried feathering but nothing happens. I'm feeling really dumb here. Can you list step by step?
