Day 3

Taken in the early hours of this morning having been woken up by the noise of the sirens. Before anybody comments that it's blurry etc, I do know that! It was 3.30 am - I'd just been woken up and I was taking it through the window (dirty windows) of my aparment at an extremely odd angle. I think there were 9 cop cars in total. I don't actually know what the disturbance was about.

slightly less blurry

This is the view from the top of the parking lot where I keep my car. The buildings are part of the apartment complex where I live.

I've been so busy that I've only shot around where I live. But I want to get out and shoot some of the city, too. Love this side challenge and all the wonderful images here!

Use the number of the image, in this case 463171 and put it between a [thumb] and [/thumb].

Day 4.....What I do....

Although I took this pic about a month ago, it's a small glimpse as to who I am and where I came from, since I've not yet been a participant in any of the 30 Self-Portrait challenges.

For the last thirty years I have been a mechanic, car enthusiast, restorer, driver, and just completely immersed in the car world in some manner or another. This car is probably the pinnacle of my career and I find myself just working now to pay my bills while hopefully developing my part time photography business into a viable entity.

I have had the grace ad fortune to be able to do what I love and get paid for it......for about 12 years, my British Sports Car shop was my life's love and the fulfillment of my dreams.

It's possible that it could happen again for me with photography. I am truly blessed to have some marketable skills and interests in things that I can actually do for a living.

Part of my reason for using this for Day 4 is because I don't think I'll be able to get out to get a pic because my day tomorrow is wall-to-wall obligations.

Day 3

Not happy with it; not sharp (think I have a lens problem here, gonna try to work that out, but staying away from that lens for now). Post processing didn't go my way, either, but that's always a work in progress at this point for me (still learning).

This is in a park near my house; had hoped to walk among the horses, but they weren't around today. Doesn't really look like what most people would think of England, I'm guessing.

Will try to catch up on comments tomorrow; my little girl's sick (cold and infected eye), so that's keeping me a bit busy.
