Well she did it!!

My daughter got her first score of above 6 in a challenge!

When she first joined here EGoobiesaid with her first challenge “I hope I get a 6.” I told my daughter not to get her hopes up. The important thing is to have fun taking pictures and learn new things. I said we shall see what the voters think and what advice they offer. I also mentioned that if she does manage to get a 6 in the future I will post a forum thread announcing how proud I am of her!

So now that she is home from school and without further ado:

CONGRATS MY LITTLE E-BUG! I AM VERY PROUD OF YOU!

You took a wonderful picture of Two Socks (and of Sweetie) that is by far much better than what your mom took that day! I guess it was a good thing that you did not take my advice not to use flash when I took you out for the photo expedition:-). Love how you not only got a wonderful angle, sharp detail, and great color but also got a wonderful horse-shaped shadow of Two Socks in the composition.

Wow, wonderful! The only thing my 8 year old daughter cares about is playing with her Brats dolls, Little Petshop toys, and running around like a screaming mimi.

Congrats on putting some work into photography. The high score is icing!

Only a 6?? I gave it an 8! I thought it was one of the best shots in the whole challenge.

Impressive, besides the fact your 8 years old, but that your camera is only 2 MP!!! DrAchoo has tons of ribbons and recently tried his best with a 3.2 MP camera and couldn't get above 5.8! Well done EGoobie!

Hey that Larus had better watch out, sixes lead to sevens and sevens can get ribbons ;-)

Congrats EGoobie

Ohmygoodness! An 8-year old took that beautiful horse photo! I'm with Aliqui! I think it deserved even higher, but I am in awe that someone so young could take a picture this clean and sharp, composed this well! I have a feeling we are going to be seeing alot more of EGoobie!!! :)

Congratulations!!!! You and mom both have every right to be proud!

Well done, and I am also very proud of both you, and you lovely Mum.
If you keep this up, you will be winning ribbons one day.
You have a special gift, and a beautiful eye for photography.

Great job! You have a wonderful future in Photography. I work with 11 year olds all day and they outscore me in just about anything. Why should an 8 year old be any diffrent?
