I'm looking for comments/critiques on these (or anything else in my portfolio) I'd appreciate general tips to improve my photography as well. Thanks! I'll try and repay all comments.

Hi There,

I like the last picture in your post, it must have taken you ages to get that shot.

Where was it taken and what setup did you use, I would love to take pictures like that.

These are pleasing images, but they all seem a little static and they all lack any element that takes them into the wow category. To my eyes the last one (with the curving line of the water on the sand) is the most pleasing because it is the most dynamic, but the perfectly centered sun tends to fight the more dynamic line of the water.

The first one, with the jetty, brings up an interesting point: you have divided the scene into horizontal "zones", which can be very good, but you have four equal zones, which is not good as a rule. If you are going to have this kind of zoning, it's usually best to have an odd number of them, most often 3. As it stands, the image tends to further divide into two zones, with the split right down the middle, and all the interest in the top half. So the image is distinctly top-heavy with nothing on the bottom to support it.
