My brothers girlfriends mom wanted a different camera then her fine pix fuji camera she had and at the time i was buying and fixing the A60 and A70 cameras. I had a few at the time that looked and worked pretty good she looked threw em and picked an A60. She had it for a few months and every once in a while she will snap off some amazing shots (so my brother said)

She saved a few and wanted em printed so she took her camera and card and everything to walmart. They have several machines that will print from memory cards but they are usualy full with other people and stuff. She went to this one machine that has a scanner. When you use the walmart machine to scan and image and then print with their high quality printer they must proof the images.

They refused to print some of her pictures because they thought she was trying to print copy protected images scanned from the scanner. She had to prove she took the shots by giving them the memory card and they looked at the exif data and stuff.

I havnt seen the pictures but man they must be good to have them think that. Its a photography center in the walmart store so i would think they see pictures all day and should be able to tell the difference?

Does the A60 take that good of pictures?

it's not the camera, it's the person behind it.

And many, many people have had the same problem with Wal-Mart. Myself included.

At Walmart (and most other places) you can fill out a release form swearing that you really are the copyright holder and they will go ahead and print it for you, but they don't always tell you that. When you fill it out for them they will keep it on file for either 60 days or 6 months (can't remember which this early!).

I have had problems with Walmart and Walgreens with photos that I have taken myself. Walgreens doesn't question me any longer but Walmart has a major turnover rate on employees and it seems like there is always some new Policy Hugger behind the counter and I have to go through all the BS. If it wasn't for my wife and her coupons. I would totally avoid Walmarts photo center.

I asked at Walmart when I went to get my fair entries done, and was told that if I went in the evenings (which was when I asked) that I'd get the students who don't care and would print anything, but if I went in the daytime I'd likely run into one who would follow the rules.

That employee should be glad I wasn't a "secret shopper"!
