OK -
I'm an ignorant dork ...
but what's with all these "TEAMS" on DPC? I've been submitting photos for a while but feel like I need the secret decoder ring ...I need the handshake, the knock, the weird signature logo ...
What is this all about?
Should I be on a team ??? Will my life be better?
i'm a competitor and would love to help (or hurt :) a team !!!!
I want to compete for fun but I don't feel like starting my own "4th place 3x" TEAM !!! 4p3! 4P3!!!! ...

I'm not on a team either. I'm competitive but I don't think I could stand the pressure of HAVING to submit to every challenge. Now if you were to start a 5P3 team......... :)

| How do you get on a team and what are the requirements? Does anyone want a beginner like me? I think it would be fun but the "others" on the teams are so dang good. |

wpl teams are small. team suck is huge, but we would consider splitting into teams that are whatever size you are. In fact, we could start our own league.

Let's start with some NAMES from people who want to be members ... of this team ONLY.
Off the top of my head:
"TEAM RANDOM" ...
"METAteam"

In conjunction with competing with other teams, I would love to have a contest that would benefit a charity as well as have a monetary prize or 3.

You are welcome to be a part of the WPL3 when the next round starts. I will post a thread soon asking for photographer input on what they want this season. I'm sure there will be some open spots on some teams and may be we can add two teams. But all that will be discussed in the thread. You do not have to enter every challenge because you have a team mates to take up the slack. It's just better if you can enter as many as possible to increase the chance that your team will score higher.

Not a popularity contest. Most teams stay together because they have formed a friendship out the league. Some teams loose photographers because the have obligations outside of DPC but popularity, don't think so, I run the WPL and I'm no where near popularity status at DPC :) |

nah... i was asked to join a team and i'm the inverse of popular...
oh... and we won world league division a ;)
