The extra rules were only meant to provide a more relaxed Advanced ruleset. For clarification for those confused by the wording:

You MAY:

- duplicate, create, or move major elements of your photograph
- create a Photoshop brush of any shape and size to use in your editing.
- add pixels to your image (i.e. "paint" on your image)

You MAY NOT:

- use multiple images or clip art
- shoot a photo-of-a-photo (the "artwork" rule still stands)

But shooting an image with a photo in it is ok as long as it isnt the entirely of the photo, right?

so is the date of the photo important or can it be a collage of older shots but a current edit???
08/16/2006 10:02:39 PM · #13
Heh, heh. I don't think I have ever been #2 in line before in entries. HOpe it doesn't get me a 3.5 score...

So in that case Steve Davidson doesn't have to be in the photo correct?

You can try but the ladies are always giving me the 'brush off' so you might not 'score' well with it. ;)

You should come to Cape Cod to visit; the ladies that give me the brushoff may see you as their savior, relatively speaking...

Normally there is a rule that states you can't add move or clone out a major element. By saying no major element rule they mean you can do whatever you want.

Steve Davidson is a nature photographer and DPC member who was recently missing for some time and then found again. This challenge is to honor him. The type of nature doesn't really matter.

The part about major elements just means that you can cut/paste/clone/otherwise move and/or delete significant objects in your photo which normall isn't allowed.

That all being said, this is a member challenge so you currently aren't eligible to enter.
