I think it's ridiculous to be offended by a breast at all, must less one being used for it's intended function.
LOL - i love this quote:
"I'm totally supportive of it — I just don't like the flashing," she says. "I don't want my son or husband to accidentally see a breast they didn't want to see."
I believe she means a breast SHE didn't want them to see. LOL

That has to be one of the LEAST offensive photos I've ever seen. It really baffles me what people will find offensive.
That is a baby and a breast, interacting in the most natural of ways. Nothing sexual, sensual or tasteless.

If you want to offend someone tell them it's not a breast. It's someone's bum and the baby is kissing it.
I'm also being very tongue in cheek with that.
I'm not offended, I think it's a great cover and a great photo

What the eff! What's offensive about the side of a breast, being used the way it is most intended by a beautiful, innocent baby?
There isn't even any nipple showing.
I see more on other magazines all the time that are meant to be sexual. This isn't sexual in the slightest, it's natural.

Some people are just giant complainers. why would that offend someone, even if it is a boob, you dont see a nipple so that makes it even less offensive. wow. people amazing me a little more everyday. |

I don't think it's offensive, but I also don't think women should breast feed in public unless they cover themselves up. "Beautiful" or not.
But I also disagree with the whole, "it's part of life, it's natural, so it shouldn't be offensive" thing. Sex is natural, but you'd go to jail for having sex on the patio of a restaraunt.

Also, I wish people that got worked up about non-issues like this would get worked up over important things.. like high taxes, government intrusions on our lives, high crime rates, and the like..

And yet Wheatley, 40, who's still nursing her 3-year-old daughter, rarely breast-feeds in public, partly because it's more comfortable in the car, and partly because her husband is uncomfortable with other men seeing her breast.
Okay, if I offend anyone here with this comment, my apologies. I never breast fed, I tried with Ellie, it just never worked out for me. I'm not against breast feeding and I feel as long as a woman is discreet she can feed her kid anywhere she wants.
BUT to still be breastfeeding a 3 YEAR OLD child? I have been told that breast feeding causes a woman to have sexual feeling and reactions and that one of the reasons doctors like it so much is that it does cause the uterus and such to contract in a very similar way to the prelude to an orgasm and get it back to it's original shape faster, so you have a woman who is still breastfeeding her 3 year old daughter complaining about the side of a breast on a magazine cover? Hell, from that angle it could be an arm, a leg, even a butt for that matter!
This woman is a prude and her husband is probably the controlling type, especially after reading the part above where her husband doesn't like other people seeing her breast in public.
When I was pregnant with Melissa, we took Lamaze classes and one of them they had a woman come in to talk to us about breast feeding, how it's done, etc. She had her 4 1/2 year old son with her, a little older than my James is now. He played for a bit but then suddenly walked right up to her, lifted her shirt, popped her bra open and started nursing! She never missed a beat. I thought I would die and Terry was about ready to burst out laughing. When we got home we talked about it, breastfeeding in public, okay if you use a blanket or such. Flashing people so your 4 year old can eat, sorry, not cool.

he he he, i guess this is the first thing we see, after we are born.
The only people who are offended by this, are the people who when see it think dirty. (so its actually their fault that they are perverts).
When i see it, i feel its a pure mother-child relationship.

OMG what is offensive about that? Belive it or not, not one of us would be here if not for mothers' milk. Bottles and formula are are very very recent invention in the big picture. Our ancestors for thousands of years reared their young exclusively on breast milk and hey, the human race survived! :D
