Why have the numbers requesting critique suddenly shot up again?

Also, I know people are requested to fill in the comment box now, but often they are just putting worthless info in there...I'm developing carpel tunnel:)

I agree with you the numbers have just jumped way up. I have one I pulled tonight that has "auto" listed in shutter, apeture, and ISO. This is done with a Nikon D70. I thought all of these had to be filled out properly. So now I either do a critique on a photo I dont have all the information on. Or I have to wait until rollover to pull another image. Is there a way to knock out the images that dont have "real" information in the requested spots?

shoot a pm to hbunch or manic (or konador?). One of them may be able to help you . .

I sometimes (often) have the ISO set on Auto, and other times the EXIF reports wacky numbers -- on my Canon S3, ISO 80 shows up at 16464 (other) in IrfanView.

I personally have requested a few more than usual lately, mainly because I've had some half-way decent photos for a change.

Why not just critique what you have? I mean just because you don't know what ISO or shutterspeed someone used, does that mean you can't talk about composition, lighting, subject choice, the way the photo fits the challenge, presentation, title, colors, contrast, etc, etc...

I would bet that your Exif would look normal in Photoshop. And you should also be able to get that info in windows just by right clicking it. Of course if your a Mac user I dont know. However adding the information in falsely to get a CC doesnt seem right. Since one of the "rules" to get a CC was to provide correct information about the settings to help us get a better idea of how to improve the shot if its a settings issue. I did shoot Heather a PM in hopes of pulling the shot so I can do a few more. I had intended on doing 10 tonight. Got this one on my 3rd CC.

Because I feel the rules are in place to keep the CC from being overloaded. Adding false info to get in the Que doesnt seem right. And I'd rather not do it. Especially since there are a couple of issues that may be related to camera settings I'd like to address, however not knowing what they are I dont want to ASSume anything.

Heather pulled the photo from the QUe for me. So I pulled another one, this time the information is filled with "default" at least this one is a little P&S and has other issues that I can do a CC on without needing the settings. Just seems we need to find a way to weed out the improperly filled in information. Guess that would require alot of coding or legwork. Anyway back to the CC.
