that is my understanding from the posts...with shadows you will not get a crisp outline of the subject.

bumping my question on getting the wrinkles/marks out of the background fabric.

When its out of the carying case and expanded, the fabric should be under a slight tension, so wrinkles should be minimal. But if there are any, make sure you have a good seperation between your subject and the background, and use a shallow DOF so that the wrinkles blur to the point where you can't really see them.
