Well, not really... :-)

But, I was wondering, any DPCers that are also on Istockphoto, want to list your istock username here? That way we could put each other in our Creative Network on istock and see each others work there too. Mabye do some cross promotion there, or something. I've already got one other DPCer on my CN, with another invitation out.

So, I'll be first. My username on istock is the same as here, dswebb.

Hope to hear from some others out there.

Great response so far. Thanks everyone. I'm looking forward to seeing all the "latest uploads" from everyone roll by on my page... Plus looking through the portfolios, good inspiration.

OK - I'm not usually into embarrassing myself ... well yes maybe I am, but here's the truth:
I've tried to upload many images that might "allow" me to sell on istockphoto ...

But I was rejected so far and they told me now is my "LAst Chance".

Perhaps I just don't have stock-worthy images - but can I get a volunteer to look at my images before submitting my FINAL test images????
I realize that this might be asking a bit much but I guess I didn't realize how tight they are about accepting images - I downloaded a hand iamge from there once and looking closely, he seemed to have a rash or somehting :0

PS: my name is always metatate.

Don't know if it would be worth anything, but sure, I'll take a look at them. Is there somewhere I can get to them at their full size?

What was their rejection reason? Focus? Noise? Copyright? "Not suitable for stock"? That'd help too.

You could also search for some of the usernames on this thread there, to get an idea of what other people have that sells.

Sorry to Flop this Forum around a little:

On my last submission:
+ LAST CHANCE +
Please view your images at 100% prior to upload and make sure they are clean, sharp focus, noise free, compression free, unfiltered, diverse and interesting samples with a visual impact. If you need more information please visit the iStockphoto training manual located at //www.istockphoto.com/tutorial_2.0_quality.php or read over some of our articles on photography located at //www.istockphoto.com/articles.php
==========================================================

+++ We would like to see 3 NEW samples. +++

fish image: We could not find a clear center focal point or the focal point was too shallow and we found this image to be out of focus.

For more information regarding focus, please see: //www.istockphoto.com/tutorial_2.1_focus.php

trivial shadow: Unfortunately this image contains undue artifacts when viewed at full size. Artifacts are most commonly caused by over-compression but may be a result of other factors. Be sure your camera is at its highest quality setting and remember to also save your JPEGs at the highest possible quality (level 12).

For more information about over-compression or artifacting, please see: //www.istockphoto.com/tutorial_2.3_noise.php

*** Please delete the samples from the uploads page and try again with (3) new samples so we may continue to review your application. Thank You. ***

Honestly, I didn't go in and clean up these images that much ... And I think I could successfully enter images - but since it's my last chance i'd like to run them by another person to verify that i hadn't missed anything.
I have an FTP / web site but I won't have images ready 'til next week (NO RUSH)
