Anybody used this software?
PHOTORECOVERY® recovers pictures that have been deleted from your digital media. PHOTORECOVERY® can even recover your images from media that has been formatted*.

I tried it just now and the program locked up. Next I tried the file recovery for hard disks but that hasn't found anything of interest. I think my vacation pictures are gone for good.

I had that happen to me. One of my cards from Florida(monkey world) lost all but one of the 60+ images. I tried looking up all different solutions but in the end I gave up. What I did learn was never never remove the card or shut the camera before the card has finished processing.

I got photorecovery demo to run and it recovered files from like 3 weeks to a month ago! WOW. That's crazy!

I've never had to use it, but PhotoRescue is tops.
It's also worth noting, as far as Lexar cards go, make sure you never shoot anything you don't want someone else to see and send that card in for recovery. Whatever Lexar uses they can recover about 90% of images that were ever saved on that card. |

I've been saved many times, on both Compact Flash media and hard drives, by a program called Get Data Back. Runtime Software.
