I would submit that the chances of this thread dying are directly related to it's rank on Google. For most of the thread's life, it has been at or above fifth place when searching "genius or fool" and similarly high when searching "Ken Rockwell."
Recently, an article on Bill Gates has pushed it down the "Genius or Fool" list, but it's still on the first page.
Given that new users frequently bump the thread when they stumble across the discussion via a search engine, the likelihood of it dying is pretty low. Besides, heck it's become a DPC tradition of sorts :-P |

NO! This thread must live. We must pump new life into this thread. Perhaps comparing and contrasting KR to other Genius/Fools. Perhaps we could debate whether Ken grew up in an area with heavy metal pollution and that caused his "playful, immature and creative, trouble-making mind of a seven-year-old." (his words)
There are so many directions this thread could go- let it die he says.

Of course how do we know his wife (who he admits is massively succesful with a big company) doesn't just keep him around for kicks and from time to time buys him things to keep him quiet. So, how do we really know his career is prosperous?

Because someone thinks he's an overall arse we must be jealous because we don't have the equipment? All the people who dislike Bush are jealous because they're not President? Can't stand Bill O'Reilly because they're not on TV? Hate the Unibomber because they aren't proficient with explosives?
What ever happened to disliking someone just because you dislike them?

Ken Rockwell gives true and honest reports. Iv'e gone with his recommendations a couple of times and he has been spot on every time. I like and trust his opinions.

I can only imagine how many hits this has driven to KR's site.
I know when I launch my website I am going to start a thread called "Look at this moron"....ridicule myself from time to time, argue with a few people and watch the hits rack up. Wonder if that would work.

DPC has some magical powers when it comes to Google rankings - I have seen one-day-old forum posts show up in the top 5 in a search. Probably why DPC is a constant target for spammers.

Why is everyone so against Ken Rockwell ?. Here is a man who is not worried about putting his thoughts into words for all to read. Like I said in my previous post I have gone with a couple of recommendations from him and he's been spot on, meaning I was very pleased with the product when testing it myself.
Everyone thinks they have the best gear and know more than anyone else but they never seem to put the thoughts they have into print. Look at the members here for example, They all take the P**S out of Mr Rockwell but I don't see anyone else sticking the neck on the block with better information.
I'm in no way connected to Ken Rockwell, Never met the man. But i do like to read his reviews and I trust what he says.
If anyone can give better information lets see it. Either put up or shut up. At least Ken Rockwell has balls, more than me i might add otherwise my opinions would be online for all to see.
