I can't pick just one... so I'll throw a few into the pool (they may have been mentioned before...).

melethia
nixter
germaine
jutilda

Couldn't live without the photography, comments, and general personality of these few.

Short list: jjbeguin, e301 and ubique. My nomination goes to ubique.
(I'd nominate others, but John won't let me). :-(

I found this site because of njsabs2323 and I find her work incredibly inspiring. Her recent nude series is blowing me away!! She is so artistic and is able to execute so well. Thank you my friend!!

I haven't come up with my answer yet but I am getting closer. Remember this is supposed to be a combination of someone that you receive feedback and inspiration from. Simply picking one because you like their work but get no comments from them is not the question, or vice versa. Try to think about it and answer with only one name. It is difficult but I think a good exercise. Pick one member.

I'll still stick with dear ol' what's his name - the dead guy. Not for the feedback he leaves me, but more for what he does for the site overall - the feedback he leaves the more unsung photographs, the "Posthumous Ribbons" thread created because of him, and of course the "hands" - get one of those and that's pretty darn good feedback.

As for which photographers inspire me with their work, that list is long and varied. Maybe that needs to be another thread.

This is just so not fair. The instructions were to name ONE person. Even if I were to make a list, I would probably leave someone out whose stuff I love, and whose comment or comment have/has meant a great deal. This is what is wonderful, and for which I am grateful.

for the amount of beautiful comments she gives out, always something uplifting and heartfelt, and the stunning quality of her work i'd have to say sandy SandyP ...:)
i know we're only supposed to pick one, but i'll second judy jutilda, she is equally as wonderful ..
one of this sites most prolific commenters and gives of herself in that way all the time .. her work is totally unique and inspired ..
both of these artists are a pleasure .. :)

Hands down I would have to say goodman. Through the years, she has been helpful on and off-line. Another is SJCarter although he hasn't been as active lately because of an accident (he's on the mend). SandyP is in a class all her own. She can think of something helpful and positive to say if you took a photo of a pile of dung. I love her approach when doing portraits. They are without a doubt, stunning.

Thanks for the thumbs up guys. I really appreciate it. Now.... vote me a ribbon. :~P

I too have more than a few who have inspired me and made my experience here at dpChallenge a growing experience beyond words. I am happy to see Jutilda getting so many votes, and I agree. She can shoot straight with you and critique you, where even if your photo is crap, you feel encouraged. I can't imagine my life here without her.

Another on my "admire most" short list is Jennifer Short njsab2323, and Roz (her macros: oyyyyyyyyyy), and I too have bee a HUGE fan of Lesley Goodman.

What a hard decision!

jeger

He is a good personal friend of mine, and always willing to go on photo trips/day trips with me. Easily the biggest influence in my own photography, and my best and most constructive critic.

based solely on photos that i have seen and my own personal taste of what I like, I have to nominate photokariangel

I have another in mind based on "feedback" given. But you asked who's my favorite. You cant give me guidelines to picking a favorite.

Since some others named more than one, I will. Based on feedback given and help given, I nominate LydiaToo

Melethia. I faved her early on. I regularly get feedback from her, both in and out of challenges, and I am always pleased when a challenge ends and I find that hers was one of my faves. She also does not let the low votes get here down. She will gives me honest and detailed feedback on a shot when I ask for it and often post challenge, when my "masterpiece" comes in lower than I expected.

If I could name one more, it would be NikonJeb. I don't get as many comments from him, but when I do get one, It is a good sign that I nailed what I was after. I appreciate the fact that he is not one of the folks that moved from newbie to ribboning in 6 months, he has struggled, one little experience at a time to improve.

Thanks for pulling for me, Deb. :)
