since about the middle of the day yesterday, voting seems to have plateaued around 155-158 votes. i wonder if this means almost everyone who uses this site has voted, and if that's an indication of the size of the user base here.

I have 152 votes so far. The last challenge seems to have received 10 to 15 votes more. There may be a few people who are waiting for the weekend.... This, being my first challenge entry, I have been excited about the voting and the comments so far. I

Looks like we're definitely near the end. Average number of votes per photo has varied over the past few challenges:

Challenge 2 (Table): 105
Challenge 3 (Outdoor Macro): 141
Challenge 4 (Red): 150
Challenge 5 (Self Portrait): 118
Challenge 6 (Night Shot): 149
Challenge 7 (Architecture): 161

I know where there are quite a few digital photographers online that would love this site... Should I invite them?

Absolutely. Link us. Tell your friends. Get us in magazines. On TV. Make us famous :P

Ok... I have posted an invitation to my friends... I participate loosely in a usenet newsgroup called alt.binaries.photos.original and there are quite a few digital fans in there. I was a little hesitant about posting your site there because you could potentially get a flood of new people...

I've had 156 votes so far, but only 8 comments :o(

Please, comment as much as possible, even on (or especially on) the bad photos, like mine! :o)

I'd like more comments too - I tried to comment on all the pictures, though a few I couldn't think of anything useful to say.

156 votes and 26 comments - not the best of ratios..

I've suckered about 5 people into joining, I'll look for more! :)

Ive got 158 votes with 22 positive comments, although my ratings have been quite average, im just hoping everyone is being stingy with the 10 and 9 votes.

actually, now that I think about it, there will probably be a last-minute burst, as all the people who waited until this weekend get their act together :-)

163 votes, 23 comments - have even managed to answer them all! except RICA1.

I started feeling bad for those folks who had ~ 8 votes, so I just went back through and left some for everyone. Some aren't as long as others, but I tried to make a comment for everybody.

Bumped a few folks up as well.

Hmm, I didn't comment on 5 pictures. Sometimes I really can't come up with anything to say. Maybe I'll be inspired come Sunday. :)

yup, there's the little burst of last minute voters - now i'm up in the 170's. But the last crop of votes took my average down an entire .1 ARGHHHHHH :P

Mine too. I wonder what that is an indication of?

How do we know this? And I thought everyone must vote on every entry.
Also, why do some users have the title of a past entry in brackets under their name?

I meant around 8 comments. There's no way to really tell, but a few people in this challenge and others have mentioned their low comments totals. I compare the total number of comments I know I have with the amount that people are saying they have.

My new baseline is to give at least as many comments as I have recieved.

I made a comment on all photos. I hope to make more detailed comments as my baseline.... I have 170 votes and 29 comments...

That's your entry currently in results -- to help you connect the people with the pictures.

Did you consider putting a small thumbnail of the actual picture, rather than the link ?

Don't think it would take up a whole lot of bandwidth
