yes stereo-types... of course the challenge should have some detail or we will have shots of hi-fi equipment... otherwise there should be some great photos

I'm hardly a crusader for political correctness.. but I would think it'd be advisable to AVOID sterotypes in photography, just like literature and everyday life.

thats the point of the challenge.. controvercial photos are often the most powerful... however I do see your point.. it would give people a chance to post something truely offensive.. could be a bad idea.. but if done right could be very interesting as well... I suppose it is a risky idea... also, I am sure that sterotypes could also be considered "cliche".. and we have already done that...

maybe having a "politically incorrect" challenge would work better and reduce the risk of someone getting really mad

I like this idea a lot, but I doubt it will ever happen. It would make too many people angry I think because most people don't have a sense of humor when it comes to politically *incorrect* issues, and would take it wrong, etc. :(

Just look at my "Politically Incorrect Drinking Establishment" picture from the Road-Signs challenge. I got comments like "Time to tear down that sign", and "This might offend people", "Poor taste...", and "That's racist..". All kinds of things, when it was just a politically "incorrect" picture! Not racist at all, in fact it's a monument to a community from 150 years ago.

I think that is a really good idea but unfortunately I think there are a few to many people on this site who are way too sensitve and it would cause a ton of problems. It is too bad so many people are so easily offended.
