Anyone bought a UV and/or gray filters for their 5700? How the the camera reacts to them? Focusing still easy?

Thanks

I am still looking into this. Been trying to find this snap-on filter I have seen on the internet, so that I can try it out first, but no such luck in the Northern CO area.
Anyone using the telephoto or wide angles. Like to know how they are working.

I have both the wide angle and the tele. Haven't played much yet with them (have them since a couple of weeks) but from what I've seen they work well. The tele is 1.5x and the wide-angle renders nice panoramics. Anything particular you'd like to know?

Are those the Nikon brand, that you have? I have seen a few others that claim to work better than and are made for the 5700, but I really am not gonna go out on a limb and waste money.
I have found the snap on filter adapter a NextPhoto, but looking into the different size filters (they offer a 46, 49, 52mm adapters), and decide (mainly on which size is generally cheaper and most likely will not vignette).
Other than that, there are always toys I want for my camera. (C:

I've had my 5700 for about 2 months now. I have the 1.5x tele and the wide angle. Both of which are 3rd party. What I've found most useful are the adapter rings. I've purchased a series of filters (52mm)that fit on them. Most of the photography I've been doing is outdoors with relatively long (to infinite) focal lengths. None of the filters have caused any problem with the autofocus.
I'm now just starting to try it with shorter focal lengths. I'll keep you informed.
This adapter ring work-a-round is the only thing I don't like about the camera. Though I have heard that there is a set of 28mm filters for the camera avilable. I stumbled onto them one day on the internet and then couldn't find them again. Maybe it was just wishful thinking.

Baldman: is the adapter for the filters you are referring to the same than the one used to screw on the tele and wide angle? Thanks

Adding on some stuff for new people. I do have the Nikon adapter, but no tele or fisheye for it, yet! Here is the place that I purchsed the snap on 52mm (perfect size-same as barrel of camera) so that I could put on filter //members.rogers.com/nextphoto/order5700.htm. I have been leaving a haze filter on ALWAYS. Have a ND8 and a circ polarizier also.
Filters will not work with the Nikon adapter, it is a proprietary size, and you would shove your lens right through any filter if you zoom.

Thanks for updating this, I'm looking at getting one of the snap adapters.

There exist 2kind of adapters: one for tele and wide angle and the other for filters only. Both cannot be used at the same time. Whic one have you got dacrazyrn?

I have both. the Nikon proprietary (for zoom/tele) and the 52mm Nextphoto adapter. Link in previous post.
