Is there a way to give this a more intense sky. I just burned it a bit to give it and overcast look but have never been able to do more then that

You might get "more" with carefully applied Curves, but probably the best thing is to create a mask (selection) for the sky area so you can adjust it separately. I usually use a soft-edged brush to finish the boundary areas with a feathered selection.

Once you have the selection, you can use any combination of adjustments, filters, or cloning to make the sky look pretty much like whatever you want.

Alexis,

Do the same thing I showed you hwo to do with the barn; select the sky and make a gradation layer on that selection, from blue to transparent, then fade and color/shift the layer until it looks natural. I'll give it a whack an be right back.

See? That's all the longer that took. Many variatiosn are possible, including other-than-blue sky and importation of actual sky from another image.

I know what you mean with the sky. I've been wanting to do something for the Adams challenge but the first couple days were gray and everthing is clear blue. If it clouds up this afternoon I may still enter something.

That's not bad at all, Puma; now try applying a color gradient to it, and it will look very real indeed.
