I'm finding that I get a lot more sensor dust on the Sony...

You bet! But it's a LOT easier to clean too. Try just blowing it out with a bulb after every shoot.

I've NEVER had a camera collect dust like my Pentax K50. Dust magnet!!!!

Worst dust magnet I've ever owned was the original Canon 5D. I really should do some test shots to see how my 5D IV is faring in that regard, especially since I just returned from Central America and a volcano hike.

In some ways that may not be a fair comparison since as far as I know there is no setting on the Sony to automatically clean the sensor each time you turn the camera off, which is an option for the Canon 7D. Instead you have to rely on using the menu option manually.
