My first video with new trail camera. After a lot of research and experimentation, this trail camera is right for me. It is a "no glow" IR camera with 80' range and a fast trigger. Night video quality is very good. Humans can't see the "black flash". Bears seem oblivious. Coyotes do seem to be able to detect the "black flash". It's interesting technology. Easy to program. Takes great daylight videos and photos, too. But, it's in the dark of the night when most of the interesting animals parade past on the animal trail.

Terrific quality. Sure beats out the older Bushnell... Don't you have to worry about people stealing this gear?

Yes, but it's out of sight from the road on private property.

The technology improves each year. And, I've learned a lot about placement.

... and if you're really concerned about theft, even on private property, there are lock boxes customized for many trail cameras.

We have 5 trail cameras on our property and it's always exciting when you pull the cards to see what you've "caught". :-D

Yes, thanks! You are right. There are good locking systems available. But, I haven't had a problem. And, I check the memory cards every morning....this time of year. I bring in the cameras after T-Giving day. (The bears do hibernate.)

It's a joy to live in peaceful coexistence with the Colorado wildlife. Photographed near Allenspark, CO. The people were headed to the hot tub. The bears were headed toward the mexican restaurants. No mammals were hurt in this filming. Browning Trail Camera Spec Ops Extreme. Evening of 07/24/17 to 07/25/17 in the total darkness. The time stamp on each segment shows the ability of the bears to avoid contact with humans.

Overnight, the bears were active on this trail near "Allenspark". I'm not exactly sure, but I think there are only four unique bears in this video... plus one trailing coyote. There is one smaller bear with ear tags... I think she's a sow. The others are boars. My favorite segment is the yawning bear. These bears are causing no problems for people, as they avoid contact and confrontations. A final note: these are the final days of the black bear mating season. From now on, we may see more females and cubs. Browning Spec Ops Extreme Trail Camera 2017
