Not sure if it has been offered here already in another thread but I have been pointed in the direction of this free software that is similar to Lightroom and has been named DARKTABLE I'm quite impressed. Go grab yourself a copy and tell me what you think.

Cheers

I tried downloading it at OS-X and it complained that this type of application can damage your computer. Though haven;t tried running it yet but thought to share the behavior.

It looks like a free version of Lightroom!!!

nice finding Mak!

darktable runs on GNU/Linux / GNOME, Mac OS X / macports and Solaris 11 / GNOME.

Apparently, not for Windows.

Definitely not on Windows yet. It's an Open-Source project. Here's the long reason:

Developers do not use Windows

The short reason is:
Because no one stepped up doing it.

It's probably worth getting Linux on your machine just for this.

I got the same message but it works fine... Mac think anything that was not purchased from macstore will harm the precious OSX... It runs fine, actually very nice. Sorry Windows users, I thought it must be for Windows also. :(

Partha has had a go at compiling Darktable 2.0 for Windows 64-bit: //www.partha.com/
