I hadn't noticed, but in LR 6.5 (released a short time ago) any lens data from Nikon stopped getting recorded in LR metadata when it was imported into the LR catalog. Honestly, I hadn't noticed because it was still in the EXIF, just not in the LR metadata which I generally only use for searching through photos down the road when someone asks for an example of an image shot with this lens and/or this body.
They released 6.5.1 which fixes this issue moving forward, but if you want to fix it in photos imported using 6.5 you need to follow a certain series of steps to prevent overwriting your LR edits. Here's a video explaining how to do it (sorry for the halted delivery of the teacher - it gets annoying rather quickly). |

Wouldn't it be nice to have one update that didn't screw something up?
