This ongoing collection started as a response to that inconsolable longing that happens sometimes when one looks at art, as a tribute to these fleeting moments when looking at art a deep understanding occurs and an indefinite number of thoughts buzz in our minds

The brain and the eye may have a contractual relationship in which the brain has agreed to believe what the eye sees, but in return the eye has agreed to look for what the brain wants

My first posting in the Photo Essay collections. Just spent two weeks in Italy and promised to look more at the people than the places. This is a sampling of what I found among the stereotypical tourist destinations.

Beginning explorations into night.

The dark.

A slightly personal essay on my attempting to take away the negative power the night seems to have over me.

I finally got round to spending a bit of time with these essays. Such a diverse and interesting bunch - as always.

It is such an eye-opener [each time for me] when looking at the images in essay format. Just so much more to experience.
