Seriously, is this a press release for a new lens, or a letter to Penthouse?

Some of my favorite over the top excerpts:

Nature and macro photographers will find its close-focus capabilities, combined with effects varying from impressionistic to just a touch of velvety smoothness, provide a set of visual tools that will expand their vision of the world.

This lens is a fluid extension to the photographic experience — the touch of the flawless metal, the tactile feel of minute details etched into its surface, the sensation of smooth, dampened manual focus

Personally, I will save my money and apply similar effects in post processing :)

Looking at the image samples it strikes me as a really crappy imitation of my big old camera rig. Not a fan of the bokeh at all, way to hard-edged.

If only I could find a way to do this without 75lbs+ of massive gear. :-(

i'd like to see some SOOC shots, its hard to tell how much of those samples is the effect of processing.

It actually seems like a nice little lens for portraiture. Considering that the well-respected vintage options often go for a lot more money than that, the value proposition isn't bad either. I'm not in the market, for that purpose I'd use this one, which I am lucky enough to have gotten for reasonable, before they got crazy expensive.
