Week One : Panoramic HDRI

For comparison ...

Quick adjustment using RGB and Blue Curves through a couple of simple masks and also overall. I think I could get the colors better if I could see them I had more time to do more careful masking. FWIW I noticed a few stitching/merging errors/artifacts on the full-sized image (e.g. the left-uppermost branch).

Week one..

One issue, this bird was way out of my lens territory by 50ft, it was snowing #2
Learning aperture mode, usually I shoot these guys only on manual focus/manual mode, but I wanted to play with my settings LOL
The best out of the bunch

The main problem with the bottle, for me, is that you wouldn't know it was a bracelet, just from the shot. And my bracelets have different detail all the way around, so about 50% of it is hiding on the other side of the bottle. It may take a whole year to figure this out!!

Mirrors?

Yes -- place two mirrors behind the bottle, angled out so that the "hidden" parts of the bracelets can be seen in reflections off to the side.

Don't forget to go look for the 360 app. I think it's $.99, & it's fun.

It creates some interesting distortions. The is a regular intersection, which I was standing in the middle of.

Once you have a decent 360° pano you'll find it easy to become more worldly

Week 2 - Del Norte County CA On A Clear Day You Can See Forever - Or at least 6 miles off shore!

St. George Reef Lighthouse, located six miles off the coast near Crescent City California was built as the result of the sinking of the coastal steamer Brother Jonathan in July, 1865 which took the lives of hundreds of people. Constructed between 1881-1891 it is composed of massive slabs of granite cut on Humboldt Bay, 60 miles south, and transported to the small, exposed rocks at the western end of St. George Reef or the “Dragon Rocks”.
