So happy to hear that he came through it well, and that IF it is cancer it is low grade.
Yes he will have a rough day or two getting off the vent and breathing on his own, but no doubt this tough bear will conquer that too. Thanks for the update.
Hugs to you too Penny as this is equally hard on you.

Waiting for tomorrows excellent news….
A friend went to Beijing recently and was given this brochure by the hotel.
Obviously, it has been translated directly, word for word from Mandarin to English.
Here is just part of the introduction:
Getting There:
Our representative will make you wait at the airport. The bus to the hotel runs along the lake shore. Soon you will feel pleasure in passing water. You will know that you are getting near the hotel, because you will go round the bend. The manager will await you in the entrance hall. He always tries to have intercourse with all new guests.
Your Room:
Every room has excellent facilities for your private parts. In winter, every room is on heat. You will not be disturbed by traffic noise, since the road between the hotel and the lake is used only by pederasts.
Your bed has been made in accordance with local tradition. If you have any other ideas please ring for the chambermaid.

I "sat in" when they did rounds on Robert this morning and he has been given the all clear to leave the ICU for a "regular floor" and that should happen in a couple of hours. Meanwhile they want him to try and at least move off the bed and sit in a chair for a while. He has gas that has lodged in the tissue around one eye and his throat which are swollen, but he says it's not causing any pain. The incision sites are very painful but he's been given pain meds. Overall I would say things are progressing very well!
BTW, R and I know the term is really "ex-tubated" but we like having a bit of fun with words sometimes.
Thanks again for all the well wishes, and for including me in them.
