This week, let's go back in time and visit our childhood self, or perhaps you have warped them into the future into a scene with you!

Special Rules- 1 childhood photo may be used.

Inspiration Here

Sounds like a maybe.

Sounds like a cool concept even if not picked as a challenge.

Sounds like a fun project. Would be even better if I had the negatives, but doubtful. Furthermore seeing that mum shot maybe one whole roll of 24-frame film per year, there really isn't that much to choose from...*sigh*

I think this would be fun to try and fun to see other members as children.

This would be fun. I don't think I have a lot to choose from - and all black and white and tiny (my childhood is more than half a century ago, sigh.) Actually I do have a couple of artificially coloured studio shots.

Sounds like an interesting challenge...

So... How do I get a wax tablet into PhotoShop?

I think it doesn't mean so much unless the people viewing the photo knew you as a child, otherwise it just looks an adult and a child who may be related. (Mind you, I've only got one or two photos of me as a young 'un with me in Japan - the rest are in storage boxes.)

I think the idea is to show two people of different ages who do look alike...to some extent anyway - but definitely in *period* clothing, hair etc. It's obvious from the few in-focus, relatively decent childhood pics I was able to dig up that my childhood was in the 1970s.

And Mike....well your son does carry 50% of your genes and sure kids can look like their parents. But again are you going to put him in clothes/hair from the years or timeframe you were his age?

Also things like the calibre of the pics will be telling. If I try to 'shop myself into any old pics there is precious little room, my mum was the main shooter and she definitely filled the frame!! Very little wiggle room anywhere!

Bump as I still think this is a cool idea. Those here who were lucky enough to have been shot by camera-savvy parents with SLRs will have it relatively easy; I'll be stuck trying to match the same level of noise as was present in Kodak 400 ISO film, shot with the olde-school version of a p&s :-)

Ok, we have this. But without an extra rule to use an old photo of us it doesn't make sense...

Wait, the "May use a photo from childhood" did not make it to the rules, right?

Would scanning an old photo, and then taking a picture of your monitor (or, taking a photo of the photo) and then using that photo be legal?
