Hi everybody.

I just updated my website. If you have the time, I would be grateful to get some feedback on it. What people like, dislike etc.

Thanks.

While I like the minimalistic approach, I think this is extreme...

Ah, ok. Took a quick look - very nice large images. Loads slow, but that might be me right now (been drinking, slows down time). I'll take a better look tomorrow. :)

Thanks. The slide img might be also little bit to large. I might need to reduce the quality to get quicker load time.

My work connection sucks...so I will have to check it when I get home. It did load slowly (at work) but then again everything loads slowly at work...It did look nice for the few min I was on it. I will give a more in depth critique in a little while

yeah it loads much faster on my home connection. I like the layout and quality of images for sale. I would like to see what you are buying when you purchase a pic.... i.e. 8x10 framed/unframed....etc.

I was thinking digital copy in high res.

wow, that is painfully slow, anyway to optimize that? i waited 30seconds then gave up, i didn't even see the images.

you have to have your images at a few hundred kb, no more. so check that.

good thing i'm not a potential customer :)

That was what I expected. I need to cut down on the quality of the slides. Thanks.

First, get away from @$#%press. That is your biggest issue. If you do not know how to code that is fine. Use Joomla it is a better interface IMHO. Page loads far too slow for anyone to wait on. Content resolution needs to be dropped down to 96 dpi. Also remember those folks who view websites on Apple products that do not support Java or Flash will not be able to view some content if you are using those types of code.

Thanks for the input. I am just trying out WP. I can code but this seems a lot easier to use. I just dropped the quality down to nothing and it shows :(

I think my biggest issue is the slideshow on the site. I have big images filling into the screen and they take long time to load.

I dropped WordPress and went with Joomla due to speed issues. I just couldn't get it to work as fast as I thought it should even with small images.

I've got Comcast Business Class internet at my house and it won't load for me, just the continually spinning wheel of misfortune...
