Well, lucky one! I'd like to see your score on my entry!

I don't really know how to vote because only some of the photographers posted link to the original picture or the author&challenge name together with their entry.

Doing better than me, just, but voting is really young (ie I expect mine to fall fast and soon)

Most of the TITLES can be successfully searched. Top menu >> Photos >> Search

If you don't recognize the image, you could search for it. Under Photos in the navigation bar, there is a search box. Try entering the title there. It worked for me in the few I tried

I put [DELETED] and it returned 384 images. I just think it would have been easier and would save the voters some time if it was done different. Just my opinion though.

But yeah, I do recognize some of them :)

Most entries look like a fun version of the original.

I would say a very high scoring challenge indeed!

Don't think mine will be though, just got a 3 :(

[DELETED] would be the winner from [DELETED]

Perhaps the description should have required the link to the original to be the title, as they have in the past in other challenges of this sort.

Really? All that work and effort for a mid-5 score? :-(

Score has improved a little, but probably getting dinged on certain aspects of the photo. Once this challenge ends peeps will understand why I couldn't do certain things. *sigh*

One comment complained that I left no clue as to whose image I was emulating. Searching for the title of my image yields only one result. From the top menu >> Photos >>Search. It works best to check "All Search Terms". When I voted, I had one window open on the side with the search window open. Another window was open with the voting window open. It does take an extra 30 seconds to review the "source" photo, but was often a rewarding/revealing experience. Indeed, there were a few images that did not yield a search result. So, for those few, I'll take time this morning and search further based on author, challenge, image number, or whatever extra clues were provided.

Its killing me this time....thought I had a good picture but I guess not.

The challenge said "emulate", not "replicate" or "duplicate" ... just saying...

With that, I'm in the mid-meh range... I had been out of it for a while b/c of the hurricane and couldn't spend a lot of time, so maybe I need to just get up to speed again :-(

I kept laughing over mine last night -- I think I was getting slap-happy because I tried three different things all last minute. It was such a funny mixture of utter failure and yet liking the failure, that it was pretty funny. :)

Luckily, we can all fall back on semantics: to emulate is to try to equal or excel not to duplicate -- so we can all claim that we've surpassed the original photo -- the voters just haven't realized it. ;P

I'm actually surprised that mine is this high. :)

What happens if someone merely submitted one of their ribbon winners to this challenge? Will anything actually be done after the challenge? Would anyone even care?

I guess that SC can easily spot it. It was forbidden so maybe there could be a DQ in this case IMO.
