Upload 2 GIF images of editing steps. Just a beginner learning 'exoert editing', if anyone do have some tips, please share.

The use of a GIF animation is pretty cool, but unless there's a way to allow the viewer to manually advance the frames, it's not that practical as a learning device — most of the frames go by too fast to really study, and a lot of it seemed too small.

I think just posting the sequence in a separate Portfolio folder would be better. Then, if you write up the steps again and link to the thumbs of the screenshots, Langdon can post it in the "How I Did That" section, and you can get a month's extension on your membership.

It's my 1st doing this and I don't any other better way. The bigger print screen images consist of 60mb. I did upload creating 4 difference GIF images sizes with time frame of 5s and 10s. It works ok viewed direct from file but doesn't work well after upload. The 5s seem to flip too fast and the 10s hang. I'm so sorry, Paul. I don't know how to write up the steps, that's why I print screen.

Crop or resize your screen captures to 800 pixels wide (and no more than 800 high).

Save as JPEG at about 80% quality — files should be less than 500KB each.

Put them into a ZIP file and upload to a new folder in your Portfolio (will automatically un-ZIP)

Writing up the steps is mostly typing what you wrote in the on-screen notes, so that people can read it in the forum format before/besides looking at the pictures.

At as you write the steps, insert the link to the appropriate thumbnail as you go. Write it up just like in a forum thread, using the formatting buttons (or their code equivalents) to insert the thumbs or highlight text.

If you want to send me the text in a PM, I'll be happy to help edit it if you're concerned about grammar or vocabulary or anything.
