Sometimes it helps with CF card's is to format them using your camera. Sometimes the filesystem out of the factory is not realy ok.

I got errors with my (cheap?) Kingston 256Mb CF cards after 2 years of intense use. I bought now a Sandisk utra II 512Mb garanteed 10 years.

1) Magicstor CF+ Type II.
2) I am not sure what you mean.
3) "Card error" flashes on my LCD.
4) Sometimes when I take pictures, I have the light indicating that it is working / processing for a while, and when it finally gets ready again, the photo I shot is not saved and not on the card.

This happens randomly, but to frequently for my taste. I am going to get a Sony Memorystick also, and primarily ues that.

either for a windows system or a mac you should make sure to properly disconnect your camera. if you just turn it off or unplug it things get screwy. on mac drag the camera icon to the trash can (make sure to empty the trash first if you deleted any pictures on the card from the computer). in windows there's a little green arrow that shows up by the clock in the bottom right corner. right click the arrow and select to disconnect your camera. if all else fails format the card using the f828's "setup" menue.
