I know there's still another day, but I thought there would be more entries by now. This is an easy one, guys :)

I'm working on it right now! Really fun challenge.

Sheep have a hard time using Photoshop, and are not allowed to become members anyway ... ;-)

I think the two sides are supposed to be mirror images -- that's the point of "symmetry" -- I think editing the two sides differently defeats the purpose of the challenge.

Two OR MORE sides...

I thought about it. I think this challenge is about bi-lateral symmetry created in PP from one image, mirrored. A flip'n'blend is typically circular symmetry, & almost all the image is new, created in PP. So I agree. Flip'n'blend is not what this challenge is looking for.

But it's NOT just two copies mirrored.

It clearly says two OR MORE images... so it could be symmetrical vertically as well as horizontally and still meet the challenge.

Yes, I agree. For sure there's no rule against editing the different iterations differently so it's not subject to DQ -- it's only a question of whether you think the majority of voters will feel your edit(s) meet the spirit of the challenge.

Absolutely. I had misread initially, too. I think it's important to point out that the description says two or more copies.

But I do think the flip and blend approach is not what's intended, as GeneralE said "It's great fun for creating abstract patterns, but not really what's intended for this challenge, since the images are laid over each other and blended, rather than next to each other to create a "reflection" of the original image. "

Well, I would expect the "image" to be the same across the "entry"... I was more commenting to the fact that people were thinking it was "one flip" only and that's clearly not the case for the challenge.

Agreed!

Over 70 entries now - wonder how many more there are out there.

I'm nervous.... I think my image could go either way. From reading this thread... I think mine may be way too boring... orrrrr... mayyyybe it is just what people are looking for. Either way, I'm so happy to be in the game again :) Good luck, everyone!
