That's e301 for the name challenged...

It might be worth posting the username somewhere up the top/ in the title/ as a subtitle or something...

Kudos to dhare for putting the effort into these interviews -- they're very interesting! I found this one particularly interesting given Ed's line of work -- sounds like a fascinating life!

I've been so detached from the site lately that I didn't even know anyone was doing interviews! Great reading!

My dad once posted a newspaper clipping on his school district office door which read

But after he added the notation "Too bad they didn't stay!" the superintendent made him take it down. : (

Great interview (again) -- thanks to both of you!

A superb, eloquent exchange and great insight to a very inspiring photographer. Nice one.

Ed - thanks indeed for the compliment too. : )

fantastic interview. I feel that, although e301 has ribbons and is a superb photographer that this interview was somehow more geared toward the "everyman" than any interview yet. The discussions were interesting and contained a broad range of topics.
Great job Dan; I've said it before, these interviews are the best thing on the website outside of the photos in my estimation.
and ED, if you happen to read this- like so many other photographers on this site, and perhaps much more than many, your shots are complex, interesting and inspiring.

As usual, very insightful ... questions and answers both. Congratulations! BTW, the spoon photograph was one of the early photos that really made me to participate. It's one of the standards I aspire to. It just looks so sensually delicious.

One, I must say, that I`ve really been looking forward to and was not disappointed.
Nice to think that if I`m ever down in "Sassenach" land..all I have to do is bring a bottle of wine and a big mushroom, knock on the right door and I`m in for a culinary treat. :-)

Seriously... great interview with a great photographer whose work I admire immensely and also surprised but delighted to get a wee mention.
Well done to you both.

Just back from a little holiday to find this up. Thanks all for the great comments.

Gordon - culinary delights are also dependent on mood :-) Though you would naturally be welcome.

In reference to the Spoon section of this interview, and with the Everyday Objects challenge all done, I can post this new photo along the same lines, which is mentioned in the text.

I really respect Ed, and even moreso now. He is so very intelligent about the things he does, and he still finds ways to communicate from the heart when he needs to. Nice work again, Dan!

A most impressive portfolio. An above average photographer with deftly execution of ideas. You have my highest respect.

Also, a very nice interview.

So I finally got around to reading this one. Thanks Ed and Dan a very interesting read!

This interview was very rewarding and an eye opener. My attention span is rather short when it comes to online reading :( but I read every word. I love the fact that even though Ed has so many awards and brilliant photos, he still has his feet firmly planted on the ground....all the more admiration for his work.
