I've been working off-and-on on creating a (opensource) template for photographers/non-designers.

What I have so far is a page that recursively scans a directory (ie... /images) and automatically creates an image gallery with smart/automatic pagination. It also automatically crops and displays images in a lightbox style.

It's pieced together using various PHP and jQuery snippets, I'm not super familiar with either of the languages.

I've hit a brick wall in two places -

1) I like pagination to exist in two places – above + below the image gallery. Right now the pagination script comes after the image gallery script. I run into problems if I try to have multiple instances or if the script is above the gallery. I could take this or leave it.

2) This one's a biggie, very important to me. Right now, I don't know how it populates the image galleries. I'd like it to be based on image name (so as to make it so that newer images will appear first).

I found this but I don't know how to implement it. ::: //stackoverflow.com/questions/2087248/i-need-to-sort-php-jquery-gallery-script-alphabetically

On the other side of things if your trying to create an opensource for non programmers you would need to have ALOT more stuff in your site that would allow users to make simple changes.

This is something you will not be able to do by piecing code together.
