Warning: don't watch on a full stomach.

What the HELL was that? I can't even HEAR music at any meaningful level, and I can tell that was an absolute junk performance...

R.

Not even impressed with her air guitar? LOL. That performance, for me anyway, was second only to Pat Boone's "Enter Sandman" (Metallica song) as the most heinous acts against rock music.

Note: Don't even click the link. You'll regret it forever.

Metalica?!?

When I was grown' up, cowboy, you weren't even a gleam in your daddy's eye. Back then Iron Butterfly was heavy metal. Now I think In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida is a nursery tune.

Well OK, Aerosmith is kinda bluesy hard rock, but GNR?! C'mon! Definitely hard rock at the least, if not true metal, and imho they straddle that border.

Now, if I had tried to pass off Poison as a metal band...*shudder*

And how about hair metal bands that just seemed to be having a lot of fun, like the Scorpions? And perhaps the ultimate hair metal band, Twisted Sister?

as i stated earlier, gnr is definitely metal.

now in poison's defense i saw them open for aerosmith a few years back and they absolutely rocked the house live. took me by complete surprise, as they'd always been a joke/spandex/hair band in my time...new respect for them. but i agree, definitely not metal :)

I just had a different idea of what I considered Metal but regardless not like I would vote down based on that anyway.

Guys I know that heavy metal has so many meanings and sub-genres, but I can say that everything from Led Zeppelin to Korn is ok :D

Funny thing that... I feel the same way about most heavy metal noise and the associated videos.

Most of it sounds like an assortment of noise I used to hear when I worked in an "Abattoir"....lots of clanging noises coupled with screams of agony or something akin to that... Noise pollution at its most obnoxious. :O)

Raymee ducks for cover.

Not very familiar with "heavy metal", but if Led Zeppelin is ok then there's still hope for me to get something entered :) Thanks for the note!
