I do really enjoy all of those. They all have 'bland' backgrounds. I have trouble with "busy backgrounds" fitting into square (or even rectangle) 300K... such as: grass or busy tree/leaves.
ETA: I'm talking about making an 800x800 square crop... that's increasing the other pixel size dimension from 533 to 800 and it makes a big stab at the 300K limitations. An 800 x 800 image is going to (obviously) take up more pixels than an 800 x 533 image.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch, I just finished voting on the Sherpet Challenge and there are a whole lot of
WOW pictures in there. If we didn't know before, we all know now that Sherpet uses bright colors. It's a joy to appreciate her style as interpreted by everyone else.

Surprising the heck out of me and shot up today. Was as high as 6.18, but the last voter didn't like it much. Actually expected more people to feel that way about it.

I DO FAVOUR THE SQUARE CROP but STILL USED the OTHER formats re VERTICAL/PORTRAITand HORIZONTAL/LANDSCAPE CROPS so I have not changed re my thinking re VOTING and will vote on the way I see it. FIRSTLY - As a GOOD IMAGE
SECONDLY - then look at the SHERPET CROP to see it the 'Portrait' or 'Landscape' format image would have improved with the SQUARE CROP making it POP for me. I HOPE that CLEAR that up for you JUDI as I will NEVER SCORE a GOOD IMAGE DOWN. THATS for sure.....
The SQUARE CROP is only one ELEMENT of a SHERPET STYLE..... as I have QUITE a few ELEMENTS to makeing it a SHERPET STYLE and I hope everyone can see that.... from shez

We all know Sherpet is a special and thoughtful and creative person.
Nothing spells that out more than her Challenge and the way she is
responding to it. All those comments! Mine was among the last 12
and was as fresh and fun as she is.

I totally agree with you.
This is the first time I participate in a "In the style of" and I'm glad I entered.
Needless to say that to me it is very hard to imitate the style of someone else (except for someone who has the same style) and that I didn't approached this challenge as an "imitation challenge" but as a "tribute to".
Indeed, when seeing her personal page I was impressed by on one hand her style but even more by her story and her life.
Along this challenge I discovered a warm, kind, open, honest and fun person, with a tremendous doses of integrity.
