| I had a feeling that this challenge was going to require a literal interpretation of the topic (read; a picture of a clock) for an image to do well. I think I might have been correct... |

Clearly the subject being "time" can only have one interpretation. A Clock. Pure and simple.
Seriously, what else could "Time" possibly be? Creativity has no place in art!
And don't even think about using that magazine of similar name. (only glanced so far, did anyone did that?)
I feel bad for anyone who entered a clock and has a 5.2, they must be thinking: Its a clock! what else can I do?!?!
I'm clawing at a 4 - I like my shot :) |

| When I first checked in this morning, I had a high 6.3x. I refreshed 4 more times in less than a minute and each time I did, my score dropped. Now I'm clinging to 6.1x! Darn you update button! I think it does that on purpose. |

"Time" like anything else in this world can have so many different meanings but it is up to the viewer to decide what it means to them.. I had so many different ideas for this challenge and yes Time Magazine was one of them. Unfortunately it seems that many people here take the challenges so literally that it does kill creativity a bit..

I agree, and I expected lots of clocks. I didn't do a clock, and my score just above 4 reflects that. On the plus side, I got a picture I really liked and had fun shooting it. And after I took it, I thought, wow this is clearly not an obvious interpretation of time. But I risked it and entered it anyway.

Felt terrible the last two days and forgot to submit! Doh! I think I would have done nicely, but wasn't a clock! Can hardly wait to share after the challenge and get some thoughts. (I'm such a dumb-butt!)

lol... this is precisely why I didn't enter this challenge; while brainstorming (in fairness on the last evening of submission) I could only think of shooting a clock or ripping off someone else's idea =).
Side note: I really need to get myself some ND filter's before the next time this challenge comes up! |

with almost everyone scoring so low (i just touched 5), are we sure there isn't a glitch in the DPC average calculator that is subtracting 1 from the values.
maybe it was hacked! ;-)
