Does anyone know if there's an easy way in CS4 to batch resize both vertical and horizontal images? Right now I have to make two actions, one for each, and put all the verticals in one folder, and all horizontals in another folder. There HAS to be an easier way...

That's how I do it, too, and yes, I'm hoping there's an easier way.

In your Image Size dialog box, instead of entering a pixel value, enter a percentage reduction -- as long as the "proportional" box is checked you should get them all resized by the same amount. Set "Percentage" in the drop-down to the right of the dimensions in the lower section.

File>Automate>Fit Image... put in the max size you want one side to be (ie 800 pix for both width and height for DPC) and it will adjust your image size to fit within those constraints every time.

It does the same to both portait and landscape orientated shots.

Use the way explained in this thread. I use it with CS4 fine, it's the bee's knees. Just edit the script as needed and keep the action intact, or save a few versions of the script @ different sizes. I run it using the image processor usually, having saved all my keeper .psd files in one folder. This then saves them as jpeg, of the right quality and size (using the script) that I want, for whatever, in the folder of my choosing.
