Hi all. If you are older, or know every commercial from the 70-80's in the USA Philadelphia area... I ask for your help.
I am searching for a video link to send a client about the old Gallo wine commercial with Aldo?
He used the catch line "how do you think I got so rich?" I searched google and youtube and various searches, but can not find any of this series of commercials.
Reading it or describing it does not do them justice and I am hoping to create a different personae, but use the same technique for a client.
So, anyone have a link to the Gallo wine commercials with ?Aldo? responding to question " "how do you think I got so rich?" Possibly with the wine Chateau Luzerne...

I remember the saying from commercials, but other than youtube maybe, I couldn't tell you where to look.

I'm pretty sure you're referring to the old Schweppe's ginger ale commercial...something I'm looking for too but can't find!

This is not the commercial but it may refer to the man you are looking for?

The commercial you're talking about was for Chateau Luzerne Wines. These wines were bottled in Philadelphia. They were the first California wines to be bottled outside of California. This was back when the 3 and 4 liter jug wines were popular. They did a series of 3 commercials. The tag line was "How do you think I got so rich?" The first one was filmed on the ex presidential yacht- The Sequoia. This was back in the late 1970s' or early 1980s'. They were very successful. At that time Pennsylvania was the only state where Gallo jug wines were not the number one seller.I don't know how to find them on the internet.

I don’t think the OP or his client still needs it... LOL
