Hey DPC gang!! :)

I need you help! DrJOnes and I just launched our awesome iPhone photo app King Camera and I was hoping you guys would help us make it a huge success!! :) You can check it out on the app store HERE! The app's official lauch day is tomorrow!

Here are three simple things you could do to help us and be part of King Camera's success:

1) Today:
talk about King Camera to your friends & contacts, by simply sharing the url www.saycheezzz.com where they can get all the info about the application. There's also a very cool video where people can see the application action (Introduction to King Camera). It's in the Videos section of the website and you could alternatively link directly to that as well.

2) Big Launching Day: June 1st
June 1st we're launching the app at $0.99 . The current regular price is $2.99. The idea for lowering the price like that is to get as many people as possible to try the app out - but also to get as much positive feedback and ratings as possible on the app store. Ratings & Reviews on the App Store are a big part of an App's potential success. It wouldbe a tremendous help if you could share the news about this launch and special price to your friends/contacts via Email, Facebook, Twitter... etc. Of course, please be respectful and avoid spamming. ;-)

3) After the Launch:
By that time, perhaps you've had the chance to test the app yourself? A rating and comment on the App Store would be really appreciated. And if you feel like continuing to be an ambassador for us, posting photos with King Camera to your Social Networks, and continuing talking about it from time to time would be a total plus for us.

All in all, that's pretty much it. In short: the more we all talk about it, the better...

Really, I thank you deeply for your support.

Cheers!

Yanik

PS: there's already a French review out! : //icommephoto.com/2011/05/31/test-kingcamera-le-meilleur-pour-tous/

Might check it out if I had an iPhone. You planning an Android version?

I have Android....my daughter has Iphone so I'll check it out with her.

What I need/want on my Android is an app that lets me go to "manual" mode? Phone is rooted so this is not as far out as it seems. Anybody know of anything?

In theory, I love it!

The features are very impressive - it does so much and does it so easily.

I said "in theory", because I am having a lot of problems with it.
The program keeps freezing or simply closing on me.

When I try to export a photo to camera roll (i.e. saving it), it only works one times out of ten at best. The rest of the time it makes all the right "noises", makes me wait for it do its thing, but then simply closes down and I'm back at the home screen. Today I had a photo I really wanted to save and it took me TWELVE times before it saved it. Same deal for emailing.... works only occasionally.
So far, I haven't been able to get onto Flickr - it never gets passed a certain stage and will NOT connect.
Haven't bothered trying to get to Facebook yet because I am sick of waiting and being disappointed.

I haven't explored everything about the program yet because of all those frustrations, but if only it worked properly, it would have such huge potential!

If you have any suggestions, I'd happily try them..... I really do like the look of "King Camera" and would love to have it working properly. Good luck with it!

I could not export directly to Facebook from within the app either. I've been enjoying the ability to process the images rather than a one click filter, although the fading slider for the one click look is a great feature. The burst and time lapse modes work well. BTW, one of the best features, same with Camera+/Instagram, is the ability to process an image captured with the standard Camera app from Apple. These apps DO NOT overwrite the original. Useful if you want to save the original for processing with Lightroom/Photoshop/Nik/etc.; and you can use the image in a challenge since you have the original.

Have the upgrades solved your problems Karin? We had 10 beta testers abuse the app for a whole week before submitting it and it never crashed. It's meant for the iPhone 3Gs, 4 or latest gen iPod. If you have a 3G it will be verrrrrry slow and crash. It's not recommended for a 3G.

I'm so excited! This weekend King Camera made the top 50 of all paid apps and we're the #3 most downloaded photo app! Thanks to all of you who helped and encouraged us in this wacky dream!! Even the iTunes team love it! "If you’re passionate about taking iPhone pics, consider King Camera. With 45 photo effects and advanced editing tools, King Camera is perfect for your inner photog." :)

We're on cloud 9! :)

Finally downloading the app now. For the price, can't lose. It seems like the iPhone is the only camera I have on me most of the time these days... Can't wait to try it.

So, when does the iPad 2 version come out?

Still figuring out the app, but fun so far.
My first shot with the app. Effects via the app except for converting to sepia.

It is a pity that I wasn't aware of that when I bought the app :-(
I didn't know my phone was THAT outdated already.

Ah well..... someday I'll get a new phone, and with any luck it will work then *sigh*
