Would some of the DPC Photo Shop experts examine the latest issue? There seems to be quite a lot of people disputing it's validity. The attached 10-12 minute report really questions Pres. Obama "long form" certificate. The Report
Please keep an open mind.

Not to be a smart ass (ok, maybe to be a smart ass), but I'm proud to say that I'll be doing something else... :P

Would that be because you don't care or maybe you have your mind already made?

I don't care about that anymore... He will be gone in 2012, but that even I am not sure of now. Republicans started to act like kittens. sometimes I think we're in this situation because of Republican Party's campaign policies... which none exist :(

My brain numbed so badly because of the things going on in this country right now, it is totally blank... nothing comes to my mind makes sense in this life. Logic has left the world.

"As you can see, my birth certificate has a seal on it.

It looks tattered. It doesn’t look brand spanking new.

So you tell me which birth certificate looks more real to you — mine . . . or Obama’s.

Also, the textured background on Obama’s so-called Certificate of Live Birth looks like a modern design. It doesn’t look anything like a design from that era."

As soon as I read these lines, I realized that I was dealing with complete ignorance and stopped reading.

My question to the poster is where and how will this end? If people can produce a valid birth certificate that is accepted by the US government for issuing a Passport then shouldn't that be enough? That is what was done by the Obama campaign back in 2008. Now they have issued a copy of the actual record at the Health Department in Hawaii, which is not needed for a Passport.

I ask because how will anyone ever prove their citizenship when questioned? People could always say the documents look fake to them or for that matter just reject them because they don't want to believe it. This is not a Democrat or Republican issue. If you ran for office and someone asked you to prove your citizenship and you produced an official document, one you used to get your Passport, wouldn't you expect that to be enough. What would stop your opponents from questioning it's authenticity? You see these type conspiracy theories have no end.

Now Mr. Trump is questioning President Obama's college records. Insinuating that this has been a long Muslim plot to get him to the Presidency. He is a sleeper cell unto himself! Where does it end?

Let's move on to the more, very much more, important issues facing the US.

This response by "ookoshii" on that page says it all:

"I hate to be the voice of reason here, but if you look at the full PDF published, this certificate was printed from microfiche and certified on 4/25/2011. Follow your own link to the original white house PDF and look at the bottom. It even has the date when it was issued and certified. When you take an old black and clear microfiche and print it on modern patterned paper, guess what, that’s what you get! No one claimed this was the original one handed to his parents back in 1961. This is a recently issued copy pulled from the state archives and printed on modern paper. The “bend” in the paper was in the original microfiche, so of course the lines don’t follow it, since the microfiche has the bend in the image, and when they print it onto patterned paper, the pattern isn’t going to match the image.
When people jump to conclusions without really looking at the issue, they usually get to the conclusion they want to get to, instead of the truth."

I. myself, found this view of the birthers and now the "collegers" interesting. I hate to see so much media attention devoted to such silliness, but on the other hand the media would just devote their attention to other silliness instead.....

"A modern republic needs some simple and unimportant issues to keep its citizens invested in the process. The important issues of our time are far too complicated for the average person, and I count myself in that group. We need a few simple issues so we can be part of the political conversation without hurting anything."

Seems to me this type of political attack does hurt things. We no longer talk issues but instead attack personality, race, gender or the like in our politics. It hurts the country because we do not move ahead only sideways or backward.

I think this whole thing is stupid. I do think that the administration should have just released it from the get go, even tho even that wouldn't appease everyone as clearly shown by the video this kid made.. I do understand why they felt they shouldn't have to, However I think it has taken to much of the focus when as others have said we have many more important things to worry about. Like electorial collage! :)

I interpret it differently: Those few who do latch on to things like this and take them seriously are not the people we would want actually involved with serious, critical issues anyway. Issues like this distract them from hurting anything important. They like these sorts of issues because they just have to shout, complain, protest, claim conspiracy--there is no real work needed on their part, just venting of spleens.

It is kind of a nice red-flag: when I encounter someone who takes this sort of thing seriously, believes the moon landing was a hoax, thinks the earth is flat, well, I find that useful to know about them. I don't even need to spend any time attempting to discuss substantive issues with them. We can talk about who we think will win this season of Idol, or other such harmless things instead.

You have a point there.

I respectfully disagree: maybe releasing it early would have done some good, but I doubt it--no matter when, the birthers will claim fake, forgery, fraud. Releasing it at all, but especially now, is fueling their delusions, lending a bit of credibility to their "cause" and allowing Trump to be (if possible) more insufferably arrogant.

Maybe, course will never know now.

Edited the post. Don't want to keep going own this road as it's all been said before. Damn politics :/

The only problem with this is that the Obama Campaign DID release his official birth certificate in 2008. People just refused to believe it. This one is a copy of the actual record in the Hawaii Department of Health. One that is not required for any official purpose. The one he released in 2008 is his birth certificate and the one he got his US Passport with.

Everybody is talking about what no one wants to talk about.

Well, all I gotta say is that there is probably a new graphic design position at the Whitehouse.

I hope you're wrong. Trump is Trump. He will find something to harp on, to be sure, but let's hope he gives up on this one.

I don't really care about his birth certificate. I think he's a great speaker...not such a great leader.

It's not that he's a Democrat, it's that he's a politician, who, like most politicians, has a primary objective to raise as much money as possible to assure re-election. In turn, they favor their biggest campaign donors, usually corporations and the very wealthy. In essence, they've sold the country in exchange for feeding their egos by being elected.

It's no longer government of the people, by the people, for the people...it's government of the rich, by the rich, for the rich. To Hell with everyone else.

Can't we just agree to disagree that we ever disagreed at all ? :D

I hope you're right! I meant that releasing it now was not a good thing, because it allowed Trump to claim arrogant empty victory. I think he did move on, immediately, to Obama's academic record..... The Daily Show noted that maybe he paints his name in big letters on everything because he loses them a lot.... :D

I am sure our government is intelligent enough to realize whether the potential president of the United States has a proper birth certificate or not. They WOULD have brought it up and taken care of it before he was elected.
To think that the hoi polloi of Republicans think that they know better than our countries combined intelligence and secret services is preposterous.
